2009

First Energy Efficient Automotive Sound

The Chevrolet Volt becomes the first car to offer this technology, which delivers high-quality acoustic performance while using 50% less energy than conventional systems.

2010

The A20 Aviation Headset is Released

Bose introduces its most advanced aviation headset to date, delivering a better in-flight experience for pilots. The A20 Aviation Headset features greater noise reduction, improved comfort, and Bluetooth connectivity for GPS and cell phones.


VideoWave Brings Waveguide to Home Theater

Bose introduces the VideoWave entertainment system, a high-definition television delivering home cinema sound from a 16-speaker audio system built entirely behind the screen, and combines it with a totally new kind of remote control that drastically reduces complexity.

Engine Harmonic Cancellation Launches

The 2010 Cadillac Escalade and 2011 Infiniti M are the first vehicles to integrate Engine Harmonic Cancellation, which targets and reduces engine and powertrain noise in the cabin of the vehicle. Using proprietary TrueSpace digital processing circuitry and PhaseGuide technology, these systems transform the listening experience and allow users to hear sound from where there are no speakers.

SoundLink Debuts

Bose enters the portable Bluetooth speaker market and empowers consumers to take sound on the go with the launch of the Soundlink Wireless Mobile Speaker. The first high quality mobile speaker on the market, the system features several engineering advancements, including two passive radiators to reproduce the lowest low notes.

First Use of Bose Dual Personal Series
